It seems now that not a week go’s by, without a patch, coming out for windows.
Microsoft, have recently issued another critical patch,
the update is named, GDI+detection tool if you visit www. Microsoftupdate.com, and get scanned, it will show you the update’s for your computer (listed in the left hand panel)
Click on these to see your updates, the GDI+detection tool patch will be listed, if you haven’t done a windows update recently.
If you have SP2 you have no worries
Microsoft list this update as critical
a long list of programs are affected including Windows Server 2003, Outlook and Office.

Also please note, you may have to apply several patches, one for windows, one for office one for picture it etc etc

if your not sure if you have this update, go to windows update and click on view installation history, you will see the GDI+ detection tool listed, this will be a very recent update, if it isn't there, then you haven't downloaded it yet,
Remember this is only relevant to XP However, because other programs are affected, such as internet explorer 6, you are advised to visit the above LINK as IE6 runs on windows 98, 98se, 2000 sp1&2 plus windows ME and NT 4 (sp6a).
