DOSMAIN.EXE? Killing the Computer!

Hi all,

Any idea what DOSMAIN.EXE is? I've been trying to troubleshoot a problem on a computer, and I notice DOSMAIN.EXE in the processes, and it's sucking up a heavy 80,000-82,000 KB. It seems to appear as soon as a user starts surfing the web, and it builds up until it his that low 80,000KB mark. The computer slows down immensly. Anyone know what it is? I haven't been able to google it, and when I shut it down, it just comes right back on.

A possibly related item is that whenever the internet browser (IE) encounters an error (like a mis-typed internet address), the browser immediately tries to redirect to a site entitled grandstreetinteractive.com These could be completely unrelated, I'm not sure.
Any ideas or suggestions?

Maybe this will help? It tells how to get rid of the mainstreetinteractive search helper, which they claim is not spyware.

You should also run HijackThis! and see what's clogging up the system.

I'll check that out, see if it helps at all. I'm still curious about that dosmain.exe process... hard to believe it would take up all those resources and yet it appears to be completely in the background where I can't see it. That's what makes me think it's some kind of trojan or other malware.
