| New round of fake Paypal emails Dear Valued PayPal® Member:
Recently, our Account Review Team identified some unusual activity in your
account. In accordance with PayPal's User Agreement and to ensure that your
account has not been compromised, access to your account was limited. Your
account access will remain limited until this issue has been resolved. This
is a fraud prevention measure meant to ensure that your account is not
compromised.
and on and on, then it asks you to sign in and change your info. It has a link to paypal's login page. The link is the correct url in the email body but likely directs you to another page.
I forwarded it to spoof@paypal.com and they sent an almost instant response verifying that it's not from them.

Ive had strange occurances going on with my PayPal acct---money keeps showing up in it from who knows where?
Its happend 3 times now to the tune of $25, not sure who's sending it or why because ive only used it once and that was to send money (I think it was $5-6) to a TechImo kid that was short some cash to buy a video game he was never gonna be able to get otherwise---I just transfer it to my bank acct, it goes in and no one ever asks for it back or what I did with it---
PayPal has been very very good to me... |
