G00NS.net Keylogger?

Yes a friend of mine on CS:S was telling me that he knows this guy Jolly something another that is in a "hacker group". Well anyways he was telling me that when you go to the website it will install a keylogger. I was like wtf, I dont know if I am ignorant or smart. I know websites can install stuff etc... but would the firewall prevent them contacting back and forth and antivirus pick it up? If it does bypass this (probably did) could you run a hijackthis and see what unusual progies are running?
Thanks for your time and replies in advance like always,

Jarret

AntiVirus should pick it up & yes the firewall should prevent the software from talking back to the hacker

the keylogger most likely installs via a exploit or Active X
that's why you should run firefox & have Windows Auto-Update enabled
