| Can't find hidden files!!!
I recently installed a password protector to hide a folder which contains movies that I made so my little cousin can't mess with it. It's a huge movie file folder (20 GBs or so). Well now I can't even find the file folder myself. I have already checked show hidden files on windows explorer and in search. I also have uninstalled both password protector programs. I know that they are on my hd because it shows that I only have 15 GB left on my 60 GB HD, which is what it was like before... What do I do to get this file folder back??
ps the folder that they are in may have been encrypted as well by the program.
WinXP SP2
I used HideFoldersXP first then uninstalled and then used WingaurdPro 2004 then uninstalled that...

My guess is that your program archived and encrypted the contents into a file. Use windows file finder (you know, that piece of crap one that comes by default with the dog hogging all the resources?), and search for files greater than, oh... 10 GB.
My guess is, if you find one, reinstall the program, load the image, decrypt it, yadda yadda yadda. |

You've searched for the file? or you searched for *.* with a file size greater than 10 gigs?
I meant the latter. |

Do you have a link to download a demo of that software? I've never used it, so I gotta play with it to get to know it better. |

Don't mention it! I actually just found this site about 30 minutes ago, so you got great timing... I'm trying that first utility. Be back in a few minutes... |
