Okay, what is the deal with Panda antivirus. I purchased a modem and one of the programs it came with was Panda. I figured since my PC-Cillin license expired and kept changing my webpage to let me know that it had expired, I would try the free Panda program on the cd.
However, ever since then this damned Panda keeps alerting me evry 5 to 10 minutes that it has changed (Panda, that is). Then another box will eventually come up wanting a restart. Well this continues even after several restarts. I have registered, updated, scanned, etc.... it is getting very annoying
Any feedback on this problem? Or Panda antivirus in general? |

I, too would like more info on Panda, as my NIS is about to run out and Panda is sending me their IS suite for free. I would like to use something different if it is decent. I am already using AVG on my other box.

Bleh Norton!
Sorry I can't help you with Panda, but if you're looking for a great free antivirus program, check out Avast Home Edition. http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html
100% free registration
I use it on my home PC's and believe it or not, it has found MANY viruses on my clients' computers that Norton missed. |

Panda isn't that hot. I seriously didn't like it. I rate them AntiVir first, AVG second and Avast third though AntiVir doesn't auto-update and the newer version of AVG or Avast may, if your into that kinda thing.

I have used Panda Anti-Virus. I personally liked the program.
I used to have Norton Internet securities installed, huge system resource hog. Uninstalled that, installed Panda, boot time was quicker, general tasks did not seem to take so long. I have actually found that Panda found a few infected files that Norton did not. Overall, I am happy with Panda.

I've tried panda before and wasn't to impressed (didn't like the interface, lots of pointless messages from the program) I've been using AVG for the last 2 years and had no problems |

That's the problem I'm having with it I am going to remove it and try AVG, if that doesn't suit me I'll install the Avast.
Thanks for the input everyone |
