working on a friends computer... coming up with this virus all over the place... when looking for the files, they arent there (show hidden files is checked). using eTrust EZ Antivirus
cant find any info about this virus except that some things find it as a virus and cant get rid of it, and others dont find it at all.... any ideas? the pop up boxes are driving us crazy |

No fixes, but a discussion on this new virus here.
Does it change the hosts file to block antivirus sites, Butch? If not, try one of the on line scans mentioned.

trying housecall, then will try ca webscanner... from what i have been able to find (not much) CA webscanner should not find anything wrong with the computer. |

doing CA now... |

ok, i was finally able to find what file was causing it: pokapoka63.exe
was able to rename it, then delete it in safe mode...
seems to be ok for the moment |
