ok so my email adress which i don't ever really use online and have never had a spam problem with, just recently maybe like last week started to get blown up with like 30-40 porn spam emails with some pretty raunchy sh1t and it's really starting to piss me off. My question is that if i turn the email adress off being that it's through my website. If i leave it off for a few months the spam will stop, then if i were to turn it back on after sometime will the spam pick up right where it left off ? is there anyway to stop it ? i really don't want to change my email adress being that i have business cards with my email addy on them. this is pretty frustrating does anyone have any suggestions.......
thanks. |

your e-mail is found by bots or web crawlers that spammers use to collect e-mail addresses. You could either implement a form that allows people to leave feedback without directly e-mailing you, or you could edit the e-mail slightly by replacing the @ with * and then tell people they need to replace it in their e-mails and explain that you do it so that you don't get spammed by bots, that way you can respond to their e-mails quicker and there is less risk their e-mail is deleted as spam! |
