the two i recommend are zone alarm and sygate. personally, i prefer sygate compared to za (easier interface for advanced stuff and it's more flexible....both paid versions are just as powerful but teh free version of zone alarm has been crippled compared to the free version of sygate  links to both are on my site http://www.k-techcomputers.us/links.html  sygate it a little hard to find..it's under home office i believe...but trust me....it's worth it  . |

I've tried to dowload sygate, but the only thing i've come to when i try to download is a simtel website? |

yup...now just click what server you want to download from in the list below  you can pick one close to home so it downloads a little quicker  |

you guys talkin about sygate 5.5 or 5.6? i had terrible trouble with 5.6.
5.5 is great though possibly the best. |

Iv'e tryed installing 5.5 but when I restarted the pc then nothing was on the desktop so I had to restart it again and access via my mom's user and uninstall it.
Therefore, ZoneAlarm it is. |

Are the NAT firewalls built into routers god enough to leave your computer without a software one?? Its a netgear wgr614.
