Question: Zone Alarm Security Suite

Hi,

I just bought a new/used pc and it has an updated, complete, legal version of Zone Alarm Security Suite running on the pc.

Including:

Firewall, Anti-Virus, Anti-Spyware, and other stuff

Question:

#1. I downloaded avast! home and installed it. Zone Alarm Security Suite and avast! are conflicting. Should I just delete avast! and go with the Zone Alarms Anti-Virus/Spyware?

#2. I used to use Norton Utilities. Any recommendations (retail and freeware) to replace it? I agree with most others and find Norton a resource hog.

Advanced System Optimizer? System Mechanic? System Suite?

You can disable the web monitoring subsystem in Avast and that should resolve the conflict between Zonealarm and Avast. Disable the Zonealarm AV.

Always install AdAware and Spybot to run scans every once in a while.

Thanks for the info ... that's exactly what I did and everything works fine.
