Encrypt and FTP?

Is there such a program out that that exists that will encrypt files on the go and upload them(in encrypted form) via FTP to a webfolder automatically? There's nothing terribly important that I'd be uploading I'm just tempted to use some of the webspace that all these webhosts are jacking up these days for a little bit of a computer backup. It would pretty much be for files that have little privacy value to me and I'd rather not lose, but also don't really want all of it floating around if say a bot starts crawling through my stuff somehow. Now that I think about it, it's not even that great of an idea, but I'm still interested in knowing if such a program exists?

There are programs available, but it's up to your server if they allow encryption. I use CuteFTP Professional... it works great, however the price I think is around $100.00. Do you have ssh access to the box? If so you can winscp the files over.

Yeah I have SSH, but I'm looking for the files to sit on the server encrypted, no just transfered. Unless I've missed something I haven't noticed anything on WinSCP that'll do that.

I think I've given up on that idea anyways. I think I'm just going to stick them outside of any web directory as that seems by far the easiest solution. It'd be nice to have an automated backup system though.
