A vulnerability in Firefox handling of saved passwords has been announced today. The vulnerability allows Firefox to autofill saved credentials no matter where they are being submitted.

Looks like they have been working hard on ideas for a fix I just hope that its a limited bug that won't work on some of the crappy phishing sites because if it does then thats a big time issue |

No your preferences are saved so if you have it set to save passwords now then it will stay that way even after an update and vice versa
a quick FYI from what I read at bugzilla they won't have a fix for this for some time so keep and eye on the sites you are logging in to! From what I understand its probably not that big an issue with secure sites but you never know

You can always remove all of your saved passwords and block it from saving any till an update comes around. |

Hello,
Most likely the people who work on Firefox, will have this under control in a few days (if not sooner). |
