| ctfmon.exe? What program should I use to check it?
I noticed ctfmon.exe is running on my computer.
According to http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/startups/ this is a trojan. I do not have Office XP so it did not come from there. I'm looking for a program that would scan for this trojan.
Can't get spybot to update this morning, at least not yet. Running Ad-Aware SE now

I found it in the run section of the registry, I deleted it but when I rebooted it was still running.
The Spybot page has finally come back up, downloading updates now. |

ok, mine is legit. this worked:
Go to Start, then Control Panel, then Regional and Language Options, then click Languages tab, then Details, then Advanced tab, then put a check next to “Turn off advanced text service” then hit Apply.
ctfmon is no longer running. |
