IE hijacked by "http//xtoff/"
I've got a PC here with IE hijacked. When you open the browser, it tries to load http//xtoff/ but only gets a "This page cannot be displayed" message. IE seems to work fine after that, but you see my dilema.
I've manually set the home page, but it still tries to go to that xtoff thingy. I've run Avast!, (thurough scan, system restore <off>), Spybot S&D, and CCleaner several times before and after Hijack this. Loaded a few logs to Matroch's links, (awesome, btw), and fixed/deleted 5 or so entries, but it's still trying to home page to http//xtoff/.
I'll attatch the most recent HJT log file here in hopes that someone might be able to see something that those analyzers missed
Please, someone help me. This is baffling me.Check out my music:

Well, I wish I knew exactly what's happened, but it's stopped after running a full Windows update.

There is nothing to report in your HijackThis log except that you are using IE6....
I'm glad to hear that the problem is no longer there but i just want to add that before using any anti virus or anti sypware tools it would be recommended to disable System Restore so that if you have any infection it won't be back later on.

I think it is much better if you have two broaswer in your pc since it would be much secured and safer as well to have firewall in your pc.

Well, I watched the first six episode of Shingeki no Kyoujin finally. It was more interesting than I expected, although had about the right level of whiny loser, strong females and overzealous idiots...
