I had my wife change her password to a much stronger version. Since then it hasn't happened again.

hotmail virus

The virus attacked not only my hotmail account but my Facebook, too. They sent a bogus email to all of my contacts claiming it was from me and that I was stranded in London and needed money to leave. You were asked to wire money to an address there. I can't even use my password to get access into the account or cancel it! I now have a gmail account but I can't even get my question answered by anyone from Hotmail because you always have to enter your password. I reported everything to an internet fraud company, made copies of everything but I feel like I'm going in circles.Oh and I can't get into facebook now either. That password doesn't work either. This happened on March 31.

Virus in Vacation Reply

Wow! I had this same thing happen couple days ago. I started receiving the notification at the top of my email page that my "vacation reply" was still on. I only went to lunch, so I KNEW I had not turned it on. I went over there and voila! there was an advertisement for some gadget company and it was set to go to EVERYONE! I immediately fixed that. One of my friends actually sent me a reply thanking me for the information and asking if they had xyz. I sent an immediate "reply to all" back telling everyone that it was a VIRUS! How in the world did they get hold of my vacation response!???!!! While I was here!!!???!!! How do you even report anything to Hotmail.......I have tried before and it seems fruitless............

Me too

Do I only have to change my hotmail virus or should I change all passwords that I use on the computer?
