Need Serious Help, Got a Virus 45 minutes Ago Please Assist

I was downloading something today and when I attempted to unzip and install it I noticed a command prompt in the background and saw some "<insertrandomstuffhere>.dll"'s go flying by. Immedietely after this I shut down and restart in safe mode uninstalled what had been installed but it was too late.

Now I suffer from sluggish performance as well as have those stupid Tray Icon Bubbles popping up saying "Your virus is infected with spyware" and etc.

ALSO

Making this irritating and very difficult. It has also disabled the task manager. Making Cntrl +Alt+delete impossible.

I read on several google results how to reenable it (I use XP pro) and using the gpedit.msc but it still did not work. Can someone please help me out. I need my computer free'd up. I was in such a rush I almost reformatted the C partition which I had installed it on but could not find my Windows XP Pro disc.

Please help me guys. Sorry if it looks messy I couldnt find anything to stop the text wrapping..
