Nothing too surprising there, no matter how many times I see it it still amazes me that people blindly open emails from untrusted sources and automatically click links that are obviously not from the supposed source site....then of course continue the insanity by allowing IE to d/l any and everything

Welcome to the real world of computing where not everyone has a BA in computer science. This however is just one of thousands of tricks that they are using to fool the average computer user that thinks that they need it to continue. This test however was done in Firefox ... so the old IE bashing comments don't apply.
Anyways I know what you mean, and that's why we have to educate the population for those not as savvy as you.

It doesn't take a BS to use a little common sense net surfing, and its not like phishing isn't a highly publicized form of hacking. They aren't reinventing the wheel here you're talking old school, most people should know better by know techniques, that IMO are pretty dang obvious. I've seen a few great phishing emails and sorry to say this isn't close to being on par with a "good" attempt.
edit: I just realized I've been referring to this as phishing, spoofing would be more like it, and even then as I said its a really poor attempt at that!
