I am sick of anti-virus suites and programs slowing down my computer ad blocking my programs, I have had horrible experiences wth Norton, mcafee, one care,,,etc.... I tried Kapersky even and something happened with the firewall, it wouldn't allow me to connect with the internet.

i have heard good stuffin these forums about freeware like avg, avast superantispy--something...

will someone please direct me on what thread i should go to or search for to find recommendations on what i should use for internet security?

i have tried searching for best anti-virus or just anti-virus software, i am new, just registered and fear I am retarded.

So please use small words with lots of instructions, lol..
