Ok guys get Spybot search and destroy, or go with Matron said and get Spysweeper, they will both help you fix this problem that seams to be spreading.

EDIT: 100th post

Trojans

The absolute best free Trojan detecting and eliminating tool is A-Squared Free. Get it at A-squared Free - Free software downloads and reviews - CNET Download.com.

While I’m here, I’ll mention that the Sinowal Trojan is back in the wild, now using the name of Mebroot. It’s one scary Trojan and everybody in this forum needs to read the article just published in Windows Secrets http://windowssecrets.com/2008/11/20...ojan/?n=story1.

Possible virus

I also had a similar problem, a while back i had a message sent to all of my email contacts saying -join flazoo - which having run a search looked like a virus, i didnt think much of it then it happened again about 2 weeks ago. Now whenever i try to go into my email it says there was a hotmail error nothing to do with my computer. It works occasionally in explorer but never in google chrome. Any idea how i can sort this out, did a security test and it came up with no threats.

Red face
Not a virus (not from our computers)

I have the same problem using Yahoo mail !!

And I'm sure its not a trojan because i have a mac, so any windows virus cannot affect me. But I think I found the answer, unfortunately there's no solution.

here's the post:

" There is probably nothing you can do. It is unlikely these e-mails are originating from your computer. They are likely originating from a PC infected with a virus or trojan that sends out e-mails using forged return addresses from that person's address book.

If you can get a complete copy of one of these e-mails with all the headers, you should be able to satisfy yourself that the originating IP address is not your computer. "
