| 19 virus infections, virus protection tech supp no good
Hi everyone, My PC running windowsXP, has 19 virus infections, I think that one or more of them is responsible for the fact that I can not download and install stuff, like even adobe flashplayer, ect. Nothing. The error message says that the application is not a valid system or windows (I forget which) 32 ... something. I have called and e-mailed tech support at bitdefender and so far no luck. They have asked me to look things up, and in my travels I found some of the same names of the viruses listed in the scan box, in c;\programfiles and system32. What can I do? |

Go to Panda and download their free scanner.

went to Panda Programming Home Page and found that they do not have antivirus software there. but they did say to use a professional grade e-mail program such as Pine from the Uninversity of Washington |

Trendmicro-house call didn't remove any of them but there is a new infection. Can I just go to these files in whatever place they are and delete them manually? Or will that hurt my computer? |

I am going to try CC cleaner. Some of these places want to give you a free trial but it does not do the full job. If you want the malware removed "completely" you have to pay.
I may have to reinstall windows. Someone was telling me about Linux Ubuntu, they said it is better and has virtually no viruses. |
