Programs randomly close after awhile

*a file named wuauclt.exe is taking up 99% of my cpu usage, doesn't affect my computers speed*

as well as Internet Explorer redirecting google links and I get an error when trying to open some programs (even though they eventually open) that says:
windows - no disk
exception processing message c0000013 parameter 75b6bf7c 4 75b6bf7c 756bf7c

Programs that've closed include my browsers as well as Windows task manager and Malware bytes.

I've run Malware bytes before things started closing, that started when I booted up my computer today. I'm running XP home, here's my hijack this report

Checkmark and fix the following...

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file)
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [install] C:\WINDOWS\WINDOWS\install.exe
O4 - Global Startup: install.exe.lnk = C:\WINDOWS\explorer.exe
O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{78E7C29C-61E6-4E2E-A1B5-39B618F669B9}: NameServer = 81.169.172.219

Then turn off system restore...
Run CCleaner...
update all the antispyware programs, reboot and scan from safemode.

I was able to run Malwarebytes scan after following your instructions and nothing came up.

System Idle Process is now back to taking up most of the CPU, along with my AVG scan.

I'm running AVG scan now, that doesn't close.

Opera will still close.

I forgot to mention another error that occurs, when I try to open up several programs (Opera, as well as programs that don't close [Winamp]) the error message

Windows - No Disk

Exception Processing Message c0000013 Parameters 75b6bf7c 4 75b6bf7c 75b6bf7c

Will come up, clicking 'continue' a few times lets me proceed.

Sometimes trying to open Opera I get the error message

There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive
????????????????????????????????????????????????? (on and on with the ?'s)

---

I have many items in AVG's virus vault, I don't know what that is.

I think the problem started while I was playing games on addictinggames.com, many of the items in the virus vault popped up during then.

AVG found many 'tracking cookies' from Opera and Firefox, I deleted all of my cookies.

Wow, everything seems to be fine... Its so peaceful and serene. Thank you.

Edit: Woops, spoke too soon. Programs are still closing.

I've had Opera, Firefox and WCIII close.

CCleaner no longer finds registry things to fix, but consistantly finds things to 'clean' after using programs.

Bleh, the No Disk error reappeared.

Should I post an updated Hijack this report?

Is running Safe Mode going to be a required step to solving this problem? The wireless keyboard I'm using right now won't let me access Safe mode during boot up.

I'm starting to think the only solution is to reinstall Windows.

Alright, I'm just going to start backing up important memories and files... Most amazing inventions of the 21st century and there's some crooked stuff going on.

Thanks so much for your guys help on this forum.

Reinstall if you want to... but i would find a PS2 keyboard, maybe download Spybot as well and then run full scans in Safemode...
thats probably all that needs to be done...
Did you turn off system restore?

Safe mode did the job. I used Spyware S&D, AVG and Malware Bytes.

Smooth sailing now : )

Looks like the problem has reappeared after I restarted my computer.

I still have system restore turned off.

I did another safemode scan and the issue is still here and only 1 file was found in S&D and didn't seem important.

Got another disc error report as well as an error "generic host process for win32 services," reporting the error lead to a system restart. Upon restart it reappeared but appears to have solved the problem.

Oh my... It issued another restart, the error came up again... and issued another restart... It appears that this will continue indefinately.

Looks like my time on the computer is limited haha, I can get about 8 minutes before a required shutdown. I think this means I'll be reinstalling windows anyhow!

Here's an updated hijackthis report:
