LiveLeak has posted surveillance video footage from earlier this month of a guy in Brazil installing a skimming device onto a bank ATM. The second half of the tape shows him being arrested and officials revealing the device,

Yeah, this is common in the industry. It's hard to tell them sometimes but that's why you should only use an ATM at a place with 24 hour video surveillance.

That's still not a 100% guarantee but you can also do a quick check of the ATM front, especially if you use all the time, then you'd notice differences.

I understand you can't always tell easily but just use common sense if something looks off with the ATM or the area, don't use the ATM.
