    thefeedwater.com VIRUS

Has anyon heard of this? My pc picked up this bug yesterday. I was on the phone with Mcafee virus support till 3AM!!!!!! They did what they can do, and then it was a blame the other person game! Mcafee to Comcast, back to Mcafee to Comcast. All night long.

When I contacted Comcast (internet provider) They said it's definitly a virus. It redirects me to a bunch of BS websites. When ever I try to click on something, at the bottom of the page over top of my start button it says "thefeedwater.com" is now taking over and redirecting me. GGGRRRRRRRRR!

Any clue how I can get rid of this folks? Thank you for your help.

(took me a while just to get to this page)

I am the first one to go along with a good laugh. So here it is "hardy-har-har-har" there you go!

I believe you misread what I typed! As for the rest of "jump on the bandwagon of laughter folks" You wouldn't be laughing so much if this got a hold of your computer and you weren't as tech savy as many folks here.

Once it gets into your PC, it will not let you move around to any website. If you dont have it on your pc, THEN you can free roam the internet and find out about it. However any page you try to open wether it's Yahoo or GOOGLE, it will redirect you! Every single page I tried to link to it clearly tells you you are being redirected by this virus called "thefeedwater.com"... If you even try to look it up online at say the now joke of the day "GOOGLE.com" and type in thefeedwater.com it will redirect you away from the anti-virus pages or will bring up about 7 websites that haver the words "thefeedwater.com" in them. When you try to click on them to find out how to remove it, it again redirects away to another bogus webpage.

Which was my main reason for asking "how do i get rid of it and have you heard of it"? Because it's already in my PC and I COULDNT RESEARCH IT. So next time ladies and gentlemen let's try to assume the person asking isn't a lazy sack of dog crap and just woke up and figured he would come here where he has found some of the best answers. And thought he would just by pass the search engines in order to uproot your day!

HOWEVER, I read a thread posted by GroundZero3 in referrence to MS Secuirty Essentials. And for some reason I managed to keep playing with my Pc until it let me on their website and download their free software. So far it seems to have worked pretty good. So thanks to the folks that find good stuff like this and post it up for others to read and follow.

It would seem that you were able to post here, so that would mean you have access to another computer...correct? RicheemxX was simply stating that seeing as you could access THIS site...you should definitely be able to access google from the computer you used to get here. That was all.

I understand what you're saying. AND I understand what Rich was saying. Like I said I kept playing with my pc enough and kept it off balance was I able to sneak in a thread on saturday when I posted that first comment. It was by the grace of God after 30 tries of trying to get to this board was I finally able to post my question. But it took me numerous tries to do so. Today I am at work and can post of course from here. And have downloaded the new MS securities program wich allows me NOW to be able to resume normal functions on my pc at home. BUT saturday it was like having 3 flat tires and only one spare. I still couldnt get anywhere.

So I apologise if my earlier comment came off a bit stand-offish. I know how newbie questions can irritate people. And that wasn't my intent. But not being able to research a question when you need to have it answered is one of the most frustrating things.

    Trojan called OPACHKI

This is a Trojan called OPACHKI which, eat away the vital memory of your PC. Every time you click on a file, its clone is automatically generated as well. Now whether you have an 80 GB hard disk or more, with a worm in your PC its size becomes meaningless I recommended you the Max Spyware Detector to prevent such type of threats.
