Please help me with this. i have a hp laptop running with windows vista home primium, a few days ago the defender started showing me a message that says it has detected "trojandownloader:win32/renos.jm". The antivirus i'm using is Avira, and since the defender started showing this message it has been detecting some trojan virus frequently, i'm really getting pissed about it, and the popup message of the defender is really anoying. I read that i could use hijackthis to help me with this problem before i can use Ccleaner and malware bytes to fix this problem... but honestly i don't know how to use this softwares. please somebody help me.

As most of us here can not actually look through a log and pinpoint an issue I'd suggest following the steps provided in this thread HijackThis Analyzer & Tutorial
Have you actually ran a scan via avira or malwarebytes to confirm you have the virus and that its not a false positive?
Here's the info on your suspected virus http://www.microsoft.com/security/po...n32%2FRenos.JM

i did run avira and malwarebytes, avira didn't detected the malware but everyday detects many rojans that the malware is downloading, the malwarebytes detected 4 trojan.fake alerts and a malware trace, which i didn't eliminate 'cause i want do the fixing with the hijackthis first.
Thanks for the link you posted on your reply, i'm using the analyzers to figure which files of the log to fix.

problem solved
RicheemxX i must thank you, since the link you gave me for the analyzer was the starting point, after using it i managed to discover this file O4 – HKCU\..\Run: [LosAlamos] rundll32.exe C:\Windows\system32\sshnas21.dll,AllocConsoleA, which the analizer recognized as "unknown, dangerous..... blah blah blah..." after figuring that out i serched about it and found this How to remove sshnas.dll or sshnas21.dll trojan (Remove trojan FakeAlert) | My Anti Spyware.... a website with the steps to eliminate this trojan fake alert among other websites.
However i didn't only follow this steps, before doing step two i runned the ccleaner too, and after step two i runned the hijackthis again and introduced the log into the analyzer, the results were satisfactory, the previously mentioned file was gonne and my pc is running as it used to. no more alerts from firewall no more fake alerts.
Again i must say thank you, and i hope this information might be useful

My suggestion. Download and install AnVir Task Manager. It also has free version. AnVir shows you all startup programs and Windows processes, so you’ll find harmful file within one minute. IMHO it’s the best such tool among other similar tools. Sorry for the offtopic.

I wonder what tax rate Irish businesses are paying? I wonder what tax rate I could negotiate with Ireland if I pretend I'm an Irish Setter instead of a rare Hellenic Hounde?
