ad aware wont run

I am having a problem with the ERROR/ERROR windows cant find...pop up. On line I was told to run Adaware, spybot, and microsoft windows anti-spyware. First of all, the 3rd thing, is that winows defender that they mean by anti spyware ? Also, I've installed and uninstalled, and reinstalled Ad-Aware in hopes that it would run, but when I click on it, it doesn't do anything. What screen should come up when I try to start the scanning? I don't know if it's running at all. can anyone help?

Hi Mary try another program like IObit.com Advance System Care or IObit Security 360 which are free from their web site to see if it cures your problem hope this will help. Smurk
