Exploit Warning: Energizer DUO USB Battery Charger Software
The downloadable Windows software package used in conjuction the Energizer DUO USB Battery Charger (model# CHUSB) to provide real-time charge monitoring can contain a Trojan capable of creating a network back door on infected systems. Being a discontinued product, Energizer is suggesting Windows users uninstall the software package and manually delete the offending 'Arucer.dll' file from the system32 directory if present. Symantec has more details about the underlying Trojan infection, and CERT has issued an advisory.
