Hi,

In the last 10 days or so I have started to receive around 5 bits of spam a day purporting to come from my own e mail address.

Normally if I send an e mail my address will show up in the header as my name then my e mail address.

By this I mean.

My normal address shows up like this Joe Bloggs <joe@joebloggs.com>

At the moment I am getting e mails with a variety of names and then my e mail address.

What I am getting now shows up like this:

Jennifer England <joe@joebloggs.com)

I have had a look at the path they originate from prior to getting to my Server and they come from all over the place so I can't block an IP addy or something simple like that.

There is only two things that are consistent one is a contact e mail in the body of the message that is always from a allweb-pr.com domain( It can be read about here:allweb-pr.com scam) and the other is a consistent line in all of them which shows up in the Header as:

X-SPAM-STATUS: No, score=4.3 required=9.0 tests=HTML_MESSAGE, MDAEMON_OP_SPAM_HIGH,MIME_HTML_ONLY,MISSING_DATE,M ISSING_MID,RDNS_NONE shortcircuit=no autolearn=disabled version=3.2.5

Normal E Mail from genuine senders has this after the same title:

X-SPAM-STATUS: No, score=0.1 required=9.0 tests=HTML_MESSAGE,RDNS_NONE shortcircuit=no autolearn=disabled version=3.2.5

I am using Thunderbird as my E Mail Client and webmail where I can set filters is MDaemon.

I have tried adding a custom field of X-SPAM-STATUS and then added MISSING_DATE as the value to send the mail to trash, this didn't work so I set another one using the whole line as the value to send mail to trash. This doesn't work either.

What I would like to know is how these people or machines are sending mail as me and if there is a Spam Catcher thing where I can filter out this sort of junk particularly something that could look for the e mail addy/domain name in the body of the message.

I should add before someone tells me to change my e mail addy, this is my business mail addy and the actual domain I use is my company name so changing it is not really an option.

Thanks in advance for any help.
