Help, weird browser hijacker.
So, i was on youtube the other day watching some vids, and i got some pop-ups. So i closed them, shut down firefox, and ran Malware Bytes, and AVG asap.
Surprisingly, it didn't find anything, none at all. I then ran Hijackthis to see if it had any logs or anything like that, I could't find anything out of the ordinary... I got back onto google to log onto my facebook. And i was redirected to some other 3rd party search engine... i still have this problem, i've ran many different mal-ware and virus programs and none pop up with a virus, i updated all of them and still nothing... this is driving me crazy, it took me 5 clicks and a copy and paste to get here to post this....
if you can help that would be great

I'm gonna guess that AVG and Malwarebytes are broken. See if you can download a new Malwarebytes installer from here...
Malwarebytes Anti-Malware - Free software downloads and software reviews - CNET Download.com
Uninstall both programs, then reboot to Safe Mode. Install and run a full scan with Malwarebytes. Reboot to normal, update Malwarebytes, then run it again.
IMO you should ditch AVG. The crapware folks have figured out how to kill it on a regular basis. Avira AntiVir is currently the best free choice out there for now.
Good luck!

Have you tried a system restore bud?
Might be the only way to clear things
Good luck!

A browser redirect should show up in a HiJackThis log. Can you post a copy of you latest scan here?

Try flushing the DNS cache. Just run Ccleaner for that and make sure the host file is not edited, then mark it read only.
Editing Your Host File - Fpweb.net Support
Go to Avira's web site under tools and download their virius remover tool in .iso format. Burn that to CD with deepburner or whatever, and boot the CD. Boot from CD - How to Boot your Computer from a Bootable CD or DVD - Boot to CD

Did they? That's one of the questions I would like answered. I don't know. I would think that if I were talking to a suspect who was being investigated for a triple homicide where the victims all...
The FBI has killed another person...
