Firefox History & X Rated Most Visited! Security Issue?
Hi - I recently uploaded Morzilla Firefox onto my Mac (about three weeks ago at the beginning of June) and then an update more recently a few days ago. Yesterday morning I looked for the first time in the Most Visited tab for my bank site as that was all I had used Firefox for and found instead a whole string of different internet Gay porn sites!!! I investigated further by looking to see when exactly these sites had been viewed and they all said February, four months before I had even uploaded Firefox!!! Not only that, when I checked the other history it told me I had uploaded Firefox itself in April and not June!!!
Can anyone tell me please where or how these sites would of made their way into the most viewed folder... Do I have a security concern? If someone had uploaded Firefox in February without my knowing and then deleted it would the history still remain?
Confused

Hi Susiejazz,
Welcome to TechIMO.
It's certainly possible that someone previously installed Firefox, then uninstalled it but left the history intact.

Or they ran a portable version and somehow the history crossed over to the install.
