    Malwarebytes and External HD

I have an external HD (F drive) that I am going to use to fill up music with. I just downloaded the free trail version of Malwarebytes to see how I like it. But now when I run the scan it scans my C drive. Does the software scan all external drives too? Or do I have to delete and start over and point the malawarebytes to my F drive? So when I scan it scans my F drive.

Side question. If I download a song in my external HD and the song has a virus. Will it also corrupt my C drive to? (sorry if this sounds silly) Hence the reason for wanting to DL songs to the external so as not to harm my C drive.

Question one is pretty easily answered. Select preform full scan and set it to scan whichever drives you want

Question two, well even if you d/l it to the second drive it's still being cached on your main drive as a temp file and then moved to the external. So that's really not the best approach. Secondly it depends on the virus. Some can and will infect anything they can. Some only attack local libraries.

If you are really that worried about then hey do the legit thing and not d/l using torrents

That's where I went wrong. I was using the quick scan and it did not allow me to pick a drive. Full scan does.

I still haven't figured out the whole torrents deal. That's a whole new thread. LOL Thank you for input. Most helpful.

No I wont because the file is located in drive C but it will corrupt your drive C for sure.
