It cracks me up seeing some of the fanboys come out to support and explain away what Apple is doing as not a big deal. I'm well aware cell companies are already tracking my info. That is just a part of life. But Apple shouldn't have access to this info.
According to everything I've read they don't just track cell towers but any wi-fi app you come in contact with. When Google 'accidentally' grabbed that info people went nuts. Apple does it to every customer intentionally and the Apple nut jobs out there defend them for it
I understand that as of yet they haven't been able to show that the info is being sent somewhere. But heck until a few days ago hardly anyone knew they were collecting it to begin with.Last edited by RicheemxX; April 21st, 2011 at 05:21 PM.

In order to use it to YOUR advantage, download the "Find iPhone App" and install it on your iphone4. Them go to www.me.com on your PC, ( there is a MAC version as well ) and you can tell exactly where your phone is. You can even wipe the data from your phone from your PC if it was stolen.
Apple / The gov, whomever,,,is going to track any device with GPS inside. (Even a GPS ) We can't stop it and if you aren't a criminal why would you even care? Won't matter in a month anyway. Bad things are happening.

Because its all about privacy!!!
I DONT WANT TO BE TRACKED!!!!!! (I value my privacy) -- I dont have any of those spying pieces of crap

But what privacy are you losing? The data is on your phone, not being copied somewhere else.
I value you my privacy just as much as anyone and I own an iphone. Do I feel violated? Nope not at all

Apple sued over iPhone GPS tracking
http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-0...cation-1-.html
ExcellentApple Inc. (AAPL) was accused of invasion of privacy and computer fraud by two customers who claim in a lawsuit that the company is secretly recording movements of iPhone and iPad users.
Vikram Ajjampur, an iPhone user in Florida, and William Devito, a New York iPad customer, sued April 22 in federal court in Tampa, Florida, seeking a judge’s order barring the alleged data collection. [more]
These 2 people are NOT PUPPETS and are standing up!!!!!!
No one has a right to compromise anyones privacy!

Again I ask, What privacy is being compromised? Unless someone has physical access the phones the data doesn't go anywhere. It just sits on the phone.

Then why are you online posting?

GZ its pointless to debate it with him, he's going to believe someones after him no matter what you say, no matter how much proof you point out.
Honestly, if he's not using an iPhone, of which he claims he doesn't use any of these "Trash" devices, then I don't know why he's even commenting in this thread.Last edited by ShyguyXPC; April 27th, 2011 at 10:13 AM.

The file stayed on the phone/computer it sync'ed to. Stop trying to spread misinformation about this issue.
