    An Android app developer has published what he says is conclusive proof that millions of smartphones are secretly monitoring the key presses, geographic locations, and received messages of its users.

    Carrier IQ itself claims to be on over 141 million smartphone handsets

    I was unable to find a list of smartphones this was installed on, but its been claimed to be on a dozen device manufacturers.

    It's unclear what devices have Carrier IQ software installed. Coward said Carrier IQ is used by more than a dozen device manufacturers, including smartphones and tablets, but he declined to name the companies or devices.
    Cnet hasnt updated its security site on this issue.
    They say technology slows down for no one. I know it outruns my wallet. I figure its because my wallet isn't light enough yet.

    Made a post on this here: FBI admits to using Carrier IQ

    But very interesting. Implications for 3rd party exploitation is dangerous. Reading the technical specifications for the IQ Agent and analytics software as we speak. Cool stuff.
