Vista 32 bit, dual 1.80 GHZ Pentium 4 GB RAM

I changed NOTHING in security settings but after last weeks Microsoft mandatory update when I am FORCED to use IE9 for company Webmail Light. The security tabs start popping up for everything. Allow/Don't allow for Adobe,,,Allow / Don't allow for AVG toolbar. Allow / Don't allow for Google Toolbar handler

It is driving me nuts. and it won't open whatever site until I have clicked through all of the allows. And whether it is relevant to THIS problem, most times when i open a second tab on the same browser the whole screen goes haywire, turns white and then as long as I run the mouse over the page the close,min/max, and ninimize icons they thankfully appear so I can close the window.

Back to the real problem. What would have changed to cause this? I never fooled with anything except Internet options ( make to make current page home page ) or, to change zoom level, default is tiny. That is it. I have never even changed compatibility view, nothing. As a work around I have discovered I can get company webmail to function using Safari as a browser and there are no repetitive requests for "security" allowances. I say repetitive as sometime it will go through all 4 or 5 requests 2-3 times before I am allowed site access.

I have not changed anything in an attempt to rectify. Thought I would bring this straight to IMO. I am running IE9 and I see an update on Microsoft but it is unclear whether it is an upgrade TO IE9 or a newer version of IE9. Have not done that.

    Any good ideas my friends?

    Thanks,

I can't remember where it is in Vista, but under UC I would check there and reset that so that your not constantly hammered with those allow pop ups.

    I'd guess User Controls.

but I think Taxman means the UAC, User Account Controls in the Control Panel, should be in the Action Center section of the Control Panel (at least in Windows 7 it is).

OK, back from church. What setting is it that controls the security pop up requests?

Just Think DOOM, DOOM II & DOOM III and the evil Corporation behind the going ons in that game, and then remember Microsoft, and you shouldn't have a hard time remembering UAC for Vista or 7

Thankfully, only one fista rig left up and running. But I have a horrible confession to make. I moved the BIG rig I had built in November 09 with the uber Gigabyte mobo and the GTX 295 to the office. I mean, what was wrong with the end of the kitchen counter? It made a nice end piece.

It's been down there for three weeks and I have not booted it up yet! What a waste of a dual 295 not folding. I feel so guilty.

I only wish I had $200 as Geeks.com has/had the other day a GTX 295 for sale on their site.

Hell $400 for the price of the original ones a year or two ago, would buy 2 of those.

and the original 600-700 price of those cards, could get you 3 of them and hefty PSU to run them with a little cash on the side to pick up a happy meal or two LOL.
