    Network security information needed

     
    Hello,

    When you upload pictures, pdf, to any site : flickr, facebook, tumblr...What information is stored on their servers? information about your computer that is?

    My question is more of computer and network details. I know email and password are stored, but what about mac address , computer id, browser thats more of what i was wondering about.

    Each site is likely different but as long as you have cookies enabled most sites gather general software information, such as operating system, browser computer ID ect. Your isp and IP address are also logged. I don't know that MAC address details are collected but I'm sure just about any other info your computer is sharing would be.
