We get telemarketers calling the house phone all day. I may just try out that script and see how it works..

You can opt out of telemarketing calls all-together using the FTC DoNotCall list system. I still get one or two rogue telemarketers (though some are permitted under the registry rules) a month, but when the Dad signed up he went from several calls per day to a couple per month.

I thought I did that last year, but we still get at least 2-5 calls a day. I just went through again though, so let's see if the calls quit coming...
(I was starting to run out of witty things to say to them, so it's probably good they quit calling now.)

Given the huge disliking towards telemarketing I'm surprised it's still a "thriving" business. But I guess that's a fallacy...bankers and lawyers have a bad rep, but I don't see those careers failing these days.
