first I would run scandisk and see what it comes up with. What ver of windows are you running as I've heard of some file in XP that grows outragous I'll see if I can dig up the post. Also it would hurt to run ad-aware and virus scan |

Are you running xp? it monitors files and backs them up incase something happens.
Go into start > right click my computer > properties > go to the tab > system restore.
You can turn it off if you like, and also, right click on the main folders in your drives like programs files and windows and see which is the largest.

please dont dig up an old thread and bring it back... create a new thread with your question and I'm sure you will get more attention towards it.
BTW, Welcome to TechIMO!!!
P.S. ~ my first thought is insufficient power supply, post a new thread and others will chime in as well.
Thanks
