Supra 5X and propel accelerator
I've been using plain 56k dialup thru supratelecom. now they are offering me a better service which uses compression and special servers that accelerate loading of frequent webpages. Are their any security , privacy or general concerns with this type of service?

I don't think there are any additional security or privacy issues over a standard dial-up account. Maintain your Anti-virus, firewall, and other protective devices and you should be fine.
Am a little skeptical of the claims they make about speed, but I guess you could try it out and see if it makes a difference for you. Caching of web pages is nothing new though.

yah i think most of the 56k "accerleration" is nothing more than them caching web pages on there servers.
not very effective sadly

heh, that's their improvement! You're better off to cache several gigs of the web yourself if that's all they're doing!
