Zone Alarm problems
I keep getting error messages when trying to do anything with ZA. My son was messing around with my PC and screwed it up. Now I get an error message saying "validation failed" I can't uninstall it or reinstall it. I can still view web pages for a period of time until it restricts internet access.
Since I have gone from cable back to free access via Netzero dial-up I have no use for a firewall anymore so I need to get rid of it but it won't let me. Can anyone help me? I am using Win 98SE

well if it was me, I would still use ZA even with dial up.
why don't you try re-installing it.
that should fix the problem.

Have you tried totally cleaning out your Temp files before attempting the reinstall?
Also, try downloading another VSUTIL.dll file from this site.

you need a firewall no matter what kind of connection you have. you're just as vulnerable.
