Floppy Drive Fail......How??

Alright I just purchased PC parts i put together the computer, and everything works, it rcognizes everything. Except when i boot the computer up it gives me the old Floppy Drive Fail(#) message. But when I press F1 to continue and windows starts up i go into my computer, and it shows the drive. Also, the light on the drive is on always. What is the matter do you think?

Thanks in advance.

Flipping the cable will work as long as it's not keyed. I actually got a brand new cable that was built backwards. Took a while to figure that one out since I thought the drive was DOA. Ended up taking the connector apart and reassemble it the right way. Worked like a champ.

If you build computers very often you will eventually put the floppy cable in wrong. Done it more than once. At least I know to look to see if the light stays on now. LOL
