So what's your take. Is Lightscribe a fad? It sounds interesting enough and with the price of burners down in the $60 range and media coming in line with traditional CD-R (DVD's are still more) I'm wondering if the new DVD burner I'm buying should have this gimmick.... |

It looks awsome, and I really want one...but I never heard of anyone using it before, so I don't know if it works very well. |

It works, and they look good BUT the cd's cost more. And they dont make verbatim or maxell ones. Which are the two best media's in the buisness from my experience.

That's funny I have some verbatim DVD+r lightscribe disk right here in front of me. I like using lightscribe but I messed a few up at first. verbbatim cd-r verbatim dvd+r
BTW if you are wanting high quality images on the disk this is not for you. I does make nice disk without color.

Cool. They dont sell verbatim light scribe ones local here though so I wouldnt bother persoanlly. If they do in your area go for it. Only ones here are HP and they are CRAP dvd's. |

If I recall correctly from the maximum PC article it can take an hour or more for a "detailed" photo... Ill stick with my Printable DVDrs and Epson Photo R200 Takes just over a minute to print on the whole DVD Surface |
