OK...I am the biggest idiot. My puter was hit by a big and nasty and I had to deem it DOA. So I made the big call and decided to reformat and rebuild..(I was thinking, "well it’s been almost 2 years it needs it anyway").
Well this is where I started to enter the realm of the poo-heads. First it was late or early depending on how you look at the clock. And lastly I was pissed and impatient....ok that off my chest..
Well I booted with my XP pro disk and when it asked if I wanted to use the partition or delete it and repartition I said yes.. Well I didn't stop there I have a second drive in my puter, And like the big rubber brain I am, I deleted the partitions on it to. So here is my question can I retrieve the data which includes, dare I say, Baby pics. Yes my wife has already given me the look and those of you that are married know exactly what I am talking about.. And with that being said you now know how much doo doo I am in now.. So do you know of a product or procedure to get my butt out of the dog house..
Any advice is well come even if it is how to get my wife back into a good mood.
Thanks
Snug

First off, do not do anything else to the second drive! Do not write anything to it, do not recreate partitions, do not format! This will give you the best chance for recovery.
You are probably going to have to spend some $$, but Easy Recovery Professional always worked great for us when I worked at the University. I would suggesst giving it or another data recovery program a try.

Wow... so you got all your pics/data off the second drive? Upon installing Windows again did you repartition/format that second drive? |
