I need help

I am going to get the

ASUS A8N32 MOBO

and I would like to use it to the max. I was told to get a 10rpm raptor 74g for my os and games and a 250gig western dig cavalier for my data and music and what not. I was told to get sata150 is that the new type of conection?

I know they made sata 2 but i dont know the diff or what to look for. I want some thing super fast for the os and then a large data drive could anyone please tell me what would be the very best for this and how i can use my computer to the best of its ability.

If that setup is stupid or slow could someone what a raid is and if that is faster.

thanks

money is not really a big deal i just dont want to spend more then 600$ on hard drives

sataII uses ncq which will give you a better performance increase over 10k rpm sataI. I'd get about an 80 gig for your os and programs, and then however big of a drive you'd like for your other stuff (both sataII for ncq or native command queuing) . Plus...they're cheeper than the raptors for the most part!!

also...what are you getting for a processor, memory, and video card, as those would be much more likely to effect the speed .
