| SanDisk USB Memory Stick Problem
I have a SanDisk Cruzer 2GB memory stick that has quit working. When plugged into the USB port it lights up but it is not reconized. I have tried plugging it in mutiple computers ( PC and Mac). Other memory sticks work in the USB port so I know it is working. When I last removed the stick when it was working I never could get a "safely remove hardware" icon so I just unplugged it. Did I fry it when I removed it? If so, why does it light up when plugged in? I have searched multiple forums and have not found anyone who has stated this problem. Thanks for any suggesstions. |

I hate to say it, but it sounds like it's fried. The light probably is just showing that it's getting power from the port. I hope someone else has some ideas for you though.
I've found that when it tells you not to remove it, there really is a file open on it. When I've checked the running processes I've found that Word or Acrobat hasn't really quit all the way. If I kill the running process then it allows safe removal. |

I'm having problems with a similar product (Sandisk cruzer micro) What OS(s) are you running? Perhaps you have some sort of driver conflict (coincidentally on both machines)? Have you checked if any of the computers have detected the device whatsoever? Is your cruzer "U3 Smart?"

I have tried it on about 10 different machines both PC and Mac. Windows XP, XP Professional, OS9 and OS10. None of the computers are even reconizing the stick. I cannot run a diagnostics on it since it is not even being reconized. |

Do you get any indication in the System Tray that the device is plugged in at all? From your description I suspect not. Have you tried to contact Sandisk?

| Sandisk Flash drive
I have a sandisk cruzer 4 GB flash drive that i have bought about 3months ago (i don't remember perfectly but its not too long ago) that is not showing its light whenever i plug it into the USB port. once there a sign that says something about "power surge-flash drive exceed the power limitation" or something like that. then a dialog box appear, asking me to reset the port and the drive might work. i had done that but i still don't see anything happening. its not lighting up as it usually does and so its not reading at all on the computer. i have tried it in different computers and different ports but still the same results-NOTHINGS HAPPENING.
Please I need your help with this problem.
