Delete CD-ROM partition?

Is there a way to delete a partition that the OS (Windows XP Professional for me) "thinks" is a CD-ROM drive? Thanks.

Yes, but you'll likely have to resort to using something outside of windows.

I would be eternally in your debt if you can find a program such as that that I could download.

If you need more information, the thread this is derived from is here.

Thank you very much.

UBCD has several utilities to come to mind. The problem will be support for the USB device.

What exactly do you mean "support for the drive?" Do you mean support for the program to delete the partition, or the support for the USB device on Windows after the partition removal?
