well actually what i did was have two drives there and then i installed windows on a partition on one hard disk. and have the rest of the disk taht does not have the system files on a RAID 0 thingy do you mean after that install windows again and instal it on one of the stripped partitions? are the drives supposed to look as one from the beginning? cuz when i installed it both drives were freshly formatted. is that wrong?

no actually in the installing thingy the two drives appeared as two. so i made a partition for windows. 30gb and so i couldnt RAID the 30gb on the other disk without windows. yea so its like that. how do you instal window3as on both drives splitr?

F6 is XP drivers, the RAID setup has nothing to do with windows.
When you first turn on your computer, after the POST screen ( page where you press DEL to enter setup). The next screen is the RAID screen, were you press F5 or somthing like that. It will say what to press to enter, on the screen.

Oh, and by the way, after you set up your RAID, and start XP setup and press F6 for third party drivers, nothing will happen untill later in the installatoin.

You shouldn't need F6 for the IDE drives.
