Cloning to an array

Okay...I think this is a simple question.

I have Acronis True Image that I use to Clone (for backup only) the HDD in my sig. I do it about once a month to another 120Gb SATA HDD.

My question is, if I get two identical HDDs and allow RAID0 in SATA channels 3 & 4 in BIOS, could I use Acronis to clone the current disk to the array?

I have already installed the nVidia RAID thing when I set up XP, and I can find a RAID-something in Windows, (but I'm not sure what it's for)...just never done this before...so I'm asking to be prepared.

T.I.A.

I'm not sure about that specific application but what I would do is put the array on channels 0 and 1 and move the old drive to another channel

if you don't have a maxblast cd you can download it from maxtors website and burn it to a cd

boot to that cd and simply copy the old drive to the array

if acronis has a boot cd you might be able to use that...and other hdd manufacturs have similar tools, you just need one of their drives installed in your system to use it I just put maxtor because that is the drive i know you have

Okay, so Maxtor has a utility that can do this? Or any other HDD manufacturer?

So, it's not a big deal apparently...cool!

Thanks, HB!
