Hi,
I'm new here. just joined the forum today. I have this problem which I have never encounter before. Hope all the experts here could help me out.
I've recently assembled my new PC with help from a friend. I have 1 DVDROM drive (LG GCR8163B) and 1 DVD-Writer (LG GS-4166B).
I tried to burn some data from hard disk using Nero 7.0.8.2 and I got the following error message: "DMA Driver Error. CRC Error". I also tried dvd to dvd copy but got the same error.
My DVD Writer is Primary Master and DVDROM Primary slave. I swap them around and still get the same error. I then unplug my DVDROM leaving only the DVD Writer. This apparently worked.
I also did some experimenting by going into device manager, ATAPI CONTROLLER and changing all primary and secondary transfer mode to PIO. This work but problem is great slow down in speed.
Hope somebody here can help me out. I don't want to have only dvd writer working while living out my fully working dvdrom idle. HELP!!
