Need to recover files from SD card.

    Hi all,
My daughter just formatted ("accidentally" she says) my Lexar 512 Mb SD card. There are some photos on there I haven't had a chance to copy so I need to recover them. I see there are a lot of programs that claim to help with this but I haven't tried any of them yet and I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas or tips that might maximize my chances of recovering them?
    Thanks for any help.
    Gary

I used this once, and it was free.

Be advised it will bring back nearly everything that was ever on that card!

it'll bring back data from sectors that have been overwritten before? sounds like it might be fun to buy some used sd cards on ebay.

Is there a reason they need to be used? New cards should be more reliable, and pretty cheap.
Second-hand stores, Craigslist, sites such as Preloved | memory card for sale UK and Ireland and other places.
