Hard Drive showing as full, yet its not.
Ok, so I've got a new problem with another family member's computer. It has an 80gb hard drive that is less than a year old. I went to go install the latest Norton 2007 System works when I get a message saying not enough space on the drive. I opened up explorer and found out that the drive is 99% full.
The weird thing is that when you go into C:\ and highlight all folders, including hidden folders, they only add up to 16gb. I have ran virus scans and Western Digital Lifeguard tool and none of them found any problems.
Does anyone know where all of the extra space went too? I also though it may be a corrupt partition table, but then the computer wouldn't even be able to boot into Windows, and it works just fine.
Any help would be appreciated.

Drive properties show it as 75+ gigs? Might turn off system restore and empty recycle bin.

administrative tools>>computer management>>disk management
disk management should give you a better idea how the drive is set up

Forgot to give an update.
It ended up being the Norton Protected Recycle Bin. It was taking up 50gb of space. I disabled it and everything works fine now.
