First off, Hi and Welcome to TechIMO.

I don't really understand what your asking.. You want a new burner, and want to know what form factor they come in??

Please be more clear...

Well lets see, there's ATX form factor, which there are several versions of that, Extended ATX (EATX), ATX, Micro ATX... as well as the usual Proprietary type designs used by Dell, Compaq, HP etc, called FlexATX. Then there Is BTX, & several versions of that.

then We get into dinky little form factors, Mini ITX & Nano ITX & Pico ITX...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compari...r_form_factors

I'm going to take a wild guess here... but I'm thinking maybe your wondering what size case you should get for the DVD drive? is this an extra DVD Drive, how many 5.25" bays do you have in your current case, are they all used?

I mean are you asking to figure out what kind of case to buy to make sure you have another 5.25" bay or what?

Think you need to be a little more specific in what it is your looking for?

EDIT:

Nevermind you posted before I got done typing...

what you need for a 5.25" bay DVD Drive, is simply a Regular DVD drive, make sure its an Internal Drive & not External, don't get a Slim Drive as their usually for very small form factor cases or laptops... other than that, not much else to say... other than do you know if your PC has SATA connectors or does it use only IDE?

otherwise here's a list of "compatible" drives for what your looking for...

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...005+1036506653

that one Slim Drive in the list won't "fit" but can be modded to fit into the case.

Nearly any internal DVD burner such as these from Newegg will fit in your case.

huh? Form factor of 5? what are you talking about?

just order any of the Internal DVD's we listed, ANY of those will work... as long as they are the 5.25" Internal drives they'll fit into a 5.25" bay... pretty simple.
